Born and raised in San Francisco, Bryan has been immersed in the meat business since he was old enough to handle a broom and sweep the floors of the family meat market. His dad, Bryan Sr., established Bryan’s Quality Meats within an independent grocery store on California Street in San Francisco in 1963; a business that is now run by his brothers. Bryan Sr. built his business and reputation on quality and unsurpassed customer service; becoming known as the best butcher in the West. Today, Bryan Jr. and his daughter and business partner, Katie, carry on the family tradition at Flannery Beef.
